While our nails are hard and feel almost impenetrable, “our bodies can still absorb toxic ingredients from the products you place on your nails,” Johanna Congleton, a senior scientist with the EWG relayed.
If you’ve used social media at all recently, you’re surely aware Mercury is in retrograde. Every once in a while, the planet becomes our “scapegoat” for the miscommunications and misfortunes we experience. Why is that? milk + honey reached out to our Feng Shui Expert, Stacy Davenport, for tips on how to stay positive during the homestretch of this unpredictable time. Today, we’re sharing her advice for keeping it together for the last week of Mercury-in-retrograde.
Once a year, we celebrate glowy skin with our Peel Party. When attendees purchase a peel, they receive a complimentary peel on their account for future use. Still, we realize a lot of people are new to peels or hesitant about the level of commitment that comes with taking the peel plunge. That’s why we asked an esthetician to answer some of our most frequently asked questions regarding peels.
Warby Parker is a beloved eyewear brand that doesn’t just make trendy glasses. They bring the power of vision to those in need, offer in-store eye exams, and work to educate their followers on vision health. So when they asked us to help spread the word of vision health for Save Your Vision Month, we were excited to learn more. But, wait a second–what even is blue light? (Yep, same.) According to HOYA, it comes from the sun, CFL bulbs, LED lightbulbs, and LED screens. If better wellness is on your to-do list, these strategies for reducing exposure to blue light are an easy place to start.
I’m beyond excited to introduce you to our new skincare line — not only because we’ve been working tirelessly to develop products that are hyperclean and effective but also because I know you (and your skin) will love it as much as I do. We have even more skincare products on the way, but there’s no better place to start than with our first two hydrating heroes: the Intense Hydration Cream and Luxe Face Oil.
Most importantly, I’m lucky to work alongside our talented team of estheticians at milk + honey, who have provided us with crucial feedback and expertise throughout the development process. Their hands-on knowledge and daily connection to both the spa and our clients differentiate us from just another product line.

Some mornings are harder than others to get out of bed. Perhaps you stayed up too late exploring all of the Bandersnatch endings or maybe you’re simply not a morning person. Either way, I relate. As a self-proclaimed nightowl, I’ve found that setting routines for the AM can change my perspective in the morning. Waking up early for a yoga or Soulcycle class can be motivating, so I figured why not give the #ArtOfTheBath a shot? So after much research, I present to you #AOTB: rise + shine edition.
While the new year offers optimism and opportunity, it can also present a lot of pressure. If your Instagram feed is anything like mine, you’re being bombarded with crisp, new activewear, renewed Soulcycle memberships, and lofty expectations for the year ahead. And though I’m all about resolutions, I think everyone could add “being gentle toward myself” to their 2019 list. It’s great to stick to your guns and book that class knowing you’ll have to pay $20 to cancel, but your off-days are just as important for your headspace. That said, I’ve created a refreshing #ArtOfTheBath for your off-days this year. Or even your on-days. If you ask me, weekly bathtime is A-OK as far as resolutions go.
