milk + honey and a Nose Waxing with Adored Austin

May 1, 2013

Indiana Adams of Adored Austin had a problem. milk + honey solved it.

Indiana is representing Austin in the Mrs. Texas Pageant. When it was time for a waxing, she knew who to call. In her post “And one time my friends staged an intervention…” she talks about her nose hair troubles, including being a recipient of a nose hair trimmer from a boyfriend. Here is an excerpt …

This morning I had my first set of Mrs. Austin headshots taken, and on Wednesday night I was horrified to notice that, once again, my nose hairs were out of control. Thankfully, yesterday morning, the dear folks at Milk + Honey Spa squeezed me in for an early appointment, and believe it or not, but I fell in love with nose hair waxing even more!

milk + honey’s Flagship Spa Featured in The Austinot

April 9, 2013

SpecialsThe Austinot came by for a Lux Massage and a tour of our new flagship spa located at 100A Guadalupe Street.

Here is a portion of the news article:

As soon as I was ready (and juggling a camera and an iPad…my spa experiences for the Austinot are a bit odd), I was ushered into the luxurious dressing room. I traded in some of my equipment for a large robe and those uni-sized spa flip flops that we all love, and I made my way into the lounge area.

Milk + Honey’s large lounge could be a destination all on its own. I honestly wish I could’ve spent more time decompressing there. With a wealth of cushioned bench seating, decorative pillows and shadowy lighting that signals nap time, you won’t mind waiting for a while either. Infused water, tea and healthy snacks like fruit and almonds are available as well.

Impact News Features milk + honey’s Flagship

March 17, 2013

milk + honey is featured on ImpactNews.com, and our own Summer Langhorne spoke about the move from our downtown spa and salon locations, into one flagship milk + honey location.

Here is a portion of the news article:

Summer Langhorne, general manager of the downtown milk+honey spa location, said the move was made to create more space for clients and employees to relax and prepare for their days.

She said staff had renovated the previous location on Colorado Street multiple times to allow it to meet their needs, but there still was not enough space.

“We wanted to give our clients an intentional experience with a well planned-out space,” Langhorne said. “Our employees didn’t have a lot of space in the back where they could relax. We were on top of each other. [With the new space], we were able to design a space where our employees could relax and prepare for their day without being on top of one another.”

The Cure for What Ails Athletes

February 25, 2008

From the Austin American Statesman’s 360:

Attention all athletes! I have come across the cure to all aches, pains and sore muscles.

It’s the Hit the Trail Retreat, an hour-long sports massage followed by a sports pedicure at the Milk + Honey Spa located in the Second Street District. I’ve had some pretty intense workouts the past couple of weeks with the Austin Sports and Social Club Boot Camp, so this could not have come at better time.

Hit The Trails Retreat featured in Austin Fit Magazine

August 17, 2006

Austin Fit Magazine
August 2006
“Milk + Honey Spa in downtown Austin has created a special package designed specifically for runners, walkers and bikers. Aptly named, the “Hit the Trail Retreat,” is the perfect way to relieve sore muscles after a long run. It starts with an hour-long warming massage, targeting the areas that get the most work while you’re working out. Soothing oils and a heating pad help to relax the body while a trained spa partisan works to get the kinks and knots out that can build up after a run. By the end of the hour, you’ll feel so loose and comfortable that you may even start to doze off.”
