7 Ways to Protect Your Skin From the Sun

While the sun is a great source of vitamin D, it can also cause serious damage to your skin. Prolonged sun exposure can lead to sunburn, premature aging, and in some cases, it can also cause skin cancer. Here are seven easy things you can do to protect your skin this Summer.

1. Slather on the Sunscreen

This may be an obvious tip, but it’s an important one: apply sunscreen. Sunscreen protects your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays able to penetrate your skin’s dermis layer and can cause premature wrinkling, skin aging, and even, skin cancer. UVB rays are the primary cause of sunburns.
