Orange You Glad It’s Spring? Meet Our New Orange Blossom Treatments

March 20, 2017

With Spring is officially here, it’s time to say “goodbye” to our Pomegranate Scrub and “hello” to Orange Blossom! Starting now, our Spring seasonal treatments will feature orange blossom oil, which uplifts the senses and rejuvenates the skin.

Want to know why orange blossom is so good for you?

The “origins” of orange blossom.

Orange blossom, also known as neroli, derives its name from a 16th-century Italian princess, Anna Maria de La Tremoille of Nerole, who loved the citrusy fragrance of the orange blossoms. While Princess Anna is rumored to have made neroli oil popular in Italy, it had been a wellness staple since ancient times. Egyptians used neroli oil to help stave off infection, relieve fever, and combat the plague. In addition, high priests regarded neroli oil as a way to transform the mind.

Today, neroli oil is being used for the very same reasons. With its sweet scent and calming properties, it has become one of the most important essential oils for aromatherapy. When applied to the skin, neroli oil can work wonders to improve skin tone and rejuvenate skin cells, all while being gentle enough for sensitive skin.
