What Makes milk + honey Different: Natural Nail Therapy

November 1, 2010

milk + honey nail productsMaxine, from the Downtown Spa, just shared a great link to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics:

Have you ever walked into a nail salon and wondered “what is that smell?” or “should I really be breathing this?” Your instincts are right on. Nail polish, polish removers and artificial nail products contain a host of toxic chemicals known or suspected to cause cancer, reproductive harm, asthma and other negative health effects.

One of the things that we set out to do at milk + honey was to create a spa environment that didn’t include toxic chemicals. We figured that neither our clients nor employees cared to worry about the health risks of a spa environment. Plus natural ingredients tend to smell better and in most cases perform better.

That’s why we use Spa Ritual as our primary nail care line. It doesn’t use ingredients like dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde or toluene. (And really, if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, perhaps you shouldn’t use it!) So our nail treatments will not only help you look good, but you’ll feel good (and clear headed) while you’re getting them.

Have you ever walked into a nail salon and walked out because it smelled toxic?

And you don’t use those yucky jetted basins that trap bacteria and serve as a host to a variety of nasty problems!
